Sherlock, love, WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING?!?

So....I'm currently battling a massive temptation, and I need someone to slap me on the wrist and tell me 'no'.

I've recently discovered/gotten access to the original scripts of all the episodes of BBC's Sherlock, and reading through them gave me the fun/horrible idea of using them as a reference to rewrite the entire series (as a fanfic of course, I don't want to be sued) to heal my innerchild and make it end/include what I want it to. Someone stop me, my sanity can't afford to take this journey right now.

Molly being jealous of John is canon.....and why would she be jealous of him if they were just good friends. She knew Sherlock loved John, she also probably figured John is hesitant to accept his own feelings. But she could read their love.

Oh wow..... that is as blatant as it can get. It gave me goosebumps.

It actually solidifies my post about how TRF was their peak, undisturbed relationship. Had they been given some more time together, John would've definitely told Sherlock. John was all in, he was head over heels and neck deep in love with Sherlock. He would do anything, literally anything for his madman at that point. He knew was gone for and there is nothing in this world that can make it go away. Only Sherlock himself went away from John. I can't imagine how much that must've broken John, he didn't show it much. But all that grief, all that love came out as anger beginning TEH. John started questioning if John ever meant anything to Sherlock, because Sherlock meant everything to John.

There can only be one "it" that John chokes back.

I wish they kept the whole thing in the scene but Johnlock's always been there, plain as the nose.

Mycroft explains to John that he’s brought him to a disaffected warehouse because he wants to avoid Sherlock Holmes’ attention.

Mycroft drops off John right under the window of Sherlock’s living room.

Conclusion : Mycroft is a drama queen.

And the thing about, “He saved my life but he couldn’t touch me,” is that it absolutely goes both ways. Before they meet, there is the implication that they have both been struggling and lack a personal companionship with emotional commitment and support to see them through. The possibility that they have considered suicide is introduced, even if they aren’t necessarily suicidal in nature.

Meeting each other quite literally saves each other, gives them what they both need for fulfillment, connection, and support. But the one aspect missing is the actualization of deeper affection, something expressed by touch. They saved each other, but can’t touch one another. They both are emotionally committed, very much life partners, and yet can’t touch the person they saved, the person who saved them. Each feels that they are not allowed this; each feels it is not an aspect of their partnership that would be cherished and reciprocated on the same level. “He’s straight,” or “he doesn’t feel things that way.” And neither of them realize they are mirroring each other even in this.

Fanfic update part 2

I went back and forth on this for a bit, but my version of the first chapter/first episode (A Study In Pink) is definitely going to be a generous mix of the original pilot, the pilot that was aired, and (of course) my own twists. A lot more of my own twists will happen further into this rewritten series. I loved how much more emotional John and Sherlock were in the unaired pilot, but I love other little things (like the final decided look for 221B' interior and John's knitwear) about the 'canon' first episode as well, so here I am mashing the puzzle pieces together like a toddler. I'm also going to be diverging from my normal writing style slightly, and writing the scenes out like it's a script. By this I mean I'm tying out putting a break in the page between changing scenes/shots instead of constantly writing out transitions. I'm actually enjoying this, because it allows me to imagine how my own version of the episode would look onscreen, and stick more to John's perspective as a narrator! Sorry for yapping about this so much, but it's been awhile since I've felt this inspired. I hope to post the full first chapter up soon! Thank you for all of the support :)
